acceptable. becareful here. I bet its gonna be far off your expected $18G's.This will be no different than if you wrote off your car or if it got stolen. You'll have to fight with the insurance company to pay you more. My suggestion would be to tell the dealer to supply you with the exact same car, color, condition, mileage, etc. Just take out your mods from the old car and have them installed in the new one. best of luck : OK, here is more info. : Guy that was driving it is an 18yo trainee mechanic. He has an NA, and works at the dealership. He jumped me as soon as pulled in for service with questions, and ohh-uhh's. Sounds like a joy ride went bad to me. He went around a 90 degree right hand bend (20mph section of a 40mph zone) at approx 50mph, lost control, did a complete 360, skid off the road and cut the wooden telephone pole in half. Pole entered the drivers side of the car by about a foot or foot and a half, all the way to the steering wheel. He was not injured (unreal). I will have some digi pics later tomorrow. Frame is visibly bent. Right now insurance adjustor is there, taking pictures and notes. Dealership said they will try to make it up to me, but I believe it will depend more on the insurance company. I will request that dealership deals with insurance, and will not let off until they give me a check for $18,000, which I believe is a fair market value of the car + tax-title-tag + portion of the cost of leftover modifications. Remember, Zs are more expensive up North, and more rare. Stock Z like mine (year, mileage, options) would sell at the same dealership for $16,900 - and would get sold in a heartbeat.
